We received the Revell Scooby-Doo Bi-Plane Snaptite Model Kit to review with my son’s. They haven’t put together a model before so it was going to be their first one. They were pretty excited since they really liked the plane and the fact that it was Scooby Doo as well. You can use the store locator to find the models and where they are sold in your area.
The boys were so excited to put together the model as it was the first one they were going to be doing. I had them put all the pieces next to each other so that they could find them when they were needed. My son’s have a tendency to put them all over then end up having to go on a search and destroy mission to find the last missing piece. So we were going to avoid that with this model. I’m sure my son’s are not the only ones who do this.
One would read the first set of instructions and the other would put that piece together and then they would change what their jobs were. It really helped them to not fight while they were putting it together and they couldn’t wait to see the finished model. They were laughing and having so much fun together while putting the model together and high five each other when they added on the next piece. It was so great to see them working as a team to put the model together and watch their excitment grow the more the pieces were put together and it was becoming the Scooby Doo Bi-Plane.
I was really enjoying watching the boys. I wanted to see how much of it they could do by themselves so I just watched and told them if they needed me to just let me know. They didn’t need my help at all, other then when it came to one of the pieces that slid under my older son’s leg so I just let them know where the piece was and they were back to having so much fun again! It was a lot of fun for them, they just loved it!
When they finished the bi-plane they showed everyone that they had finished it and it looked just like the picture! Yes, sometimes things they do or make do not come out looking like they are suppose to but they did a great job with the Revell Scooby Doo Bi-plane! They played with the plane when they were done, taking adventures with Scooby Doo, Shaggy and Velma! I was waiting for it and it did happen…. “MOM! Can we get more of these models and see what other kinds they have?” My response was “Of course, you both worked so well together and did a great job! I’m so proud of you both!” So looks like the boys will be getting more Revell Models to make for Christmas!
If your looking for a fun project for your child they have some great models for you to choose from. They will also take away from the “I’m bored!” over the holiday break as well. They will have a fun time putting a model together and displaying it for everyone to see. You can use the store locator to find the nearest store to you to purchase a model that your child will love.
