The Light Between Oceans Movie Review #LightBetweenOceansBluray

The light between Oceans

I received a review package from Disney Home Entertainment, It was filled with goodies for a viewing party. The box was filled with items for the movie The Light Between Oceans. It was beautifully put together by Building out at-home screening parties. It included a The Light Between Oceans Blu-Ray, The Light Between Oceans Coffee Mugs, flavored teas, bath bombs, Soy Candles, Tissues, The Light Between Oceans Book and Oh so comfy velour slippers. The bath bombs and Soy Candles were the perfect touch, the Ocean scents just brought you right to the ocean. The slippers made my 4 friends and I so comfortable for the viewing. We all chose out a tea that we would like to drink during the movie, I chose the Pomegranate Green Tea, which was so relaxing while watching the movie. We also lit one of the Soy Candles which brought the scent of the ocean to us while we watched the movie. Talk about pure relaxing heaven, we were all in it!

I decided that we would need snacks for the movie, so I made different flavored popcorn, theater candy, as well as finger foods. My friends and I love to watch movies together but we all hate to get up and get things during the movie. So I made sure we had our hot water for our tea, extra hot water in a tea kettle next to our snacks as well as everything we would need before we started the movie. I also lit a Ocean scented soy candle that came in the box so it would make us feel like we were right at the ocean. The velour slippers were all so comfy and allowed us to relax and enjoy the movie, while still keeping our feet warm and they had “The Light Between Oceans” on them as well as everything included in the goodies that arrived.

Tom and Isabel’s story starts when they go on a picnic lunch and decide to get married. They move to an Island with a lighthouse that Tom works at to start their life together. They are just so in love and you can feel it through their amazing acting. They support each other through the good times and the bad, and what a roller coaster life can be. The love they felt for each other was just shown throughout the movie. Your heart will break for them, get swept away in joy, and then break for them again. The book was just as amazing, I read it before watching the movie because it was a must for me.

The Light Between Oceans will keep your attention as you wonder what is coming next. It will have your eyes filled with tears, and make your heart ache for the couple as well. It is a must see movie! The Light Between Oceans, really makes you aware of what heartache couples can go through. Rachel Weisz (Hannah) will also make you feel for her and everything she has gone through, but also her and her husband teach you a wonderful lesson of how we should forgive for ourselves when someone hurts us. They do it in such a beautiful and wise way, that it just adds the perfect touches to the book and movie. The end of the movie (no spoiler alerts) will bring you back to joy again, and ends on a almost perfect note. It’s the perfect roller coaster ride of emotions throughout the whole movie.

BURBANK, Calif., Nov. 1, 2016 — On Jan. 24, DreamWorks Pictures’ “The Light Between Oceans,” a lush, classical romance, starring two-time Academy Award® nominee Michael Fassbender (Best Actor, Steve Jobs), Oscar® winner Alicia Vikander (Best Supporting Actress, The Danish Girl), and Oscar and Golden Globe® winner Rachel Weisz (Best Supporting Actress, The Constant Gardener), arrives home on Digital HD, Blu-ray™, DVD and On-Demand. The mesmerizingly beautiful film is based on the 2012 best-selling novel by M.L. Stedman, which swept readers away with its transporting story of fate, love, moral dilemmas and the lengths one couple will go to see their hard-fought dreams realized.

The in-home release of “The Light Between Oceans” will carry audiences even deeper into this timeless tale of love and impossible choices through never-before-seen bonus features, including a documentary which reveals director Derek Cianfrance’s unique approach that allowed the all-star cast to embody their characters and examine the power of love; a historical look at New Zealand’s Cape Campbell Lighthouse that serves as Janus Rock, a key element in Stedman’s novel; and insightful and in-depth audio commentary led by Cianfrance. Cianfrance was transfixed by M.L. Stedman’s writing and remained faithful to her book, explaining, “The most meaningful compliment on the film I’ve received so far was from Stedman herself, who said she spent the day weeping after attending a screening … weeping because she felt that she was understood.” According to Stedman, “The result is an exquisitely beautiful and emotionally authentic film that stays true to the spirit of my novel, yet also embodies the deeply personal interpretation of the director and his actors.

It’s been a great privilege to watch it come into being.”DreamWorks Pictures’ “The Light Between Oceans” stars Michael Fassbender as Tom Sherbourne, a young combat veteran and lighthouse keeper on a remote island off the coast of Western Australia; Alicia Vikander as Isabel Graysmark, the beautiful and spirited daughter of the school headmaster on the mainland of Partageuse; Rachel Weisz as Hannah Roennfeld, a resident of Partageuse who is desperately hoping to find her husband and baby lost at sea; Bryan Brown as Septimus Potts, Hannah’s wealthy, influential father; and Jack Thompson as Ralph, a salty, sea-faring skipper. The film is written for the screen and directed by Derek Cianfrance based on the novel by M.L. Stedman and produced by Oscar-nominee David Heyman, p.g.a. and Jeffrey Clifford, p.g.a. The executive producers are Tom Karnowski, Rosie Alison, Jeff Skoll and Jonathan King.
