Homemade Vanilla Cake Filled With Cherries With Chocolate Buttercream Frosting #Recipe

This cake is the perfect cake to serve for family or when friends are coming over, it will amaze them how beautiful the cake is. You will be the only one that will know how easy it was to bake and fill! There are so many different cakes you can make but I chose to make a Homemade Vanilla Cake and fill it with cherry Pie Filling as that is one of my son’s favorites. I have since tried it with so many other flavors that the possibilities are just endless. You can easily make a Boston Cream cake, Lemon, Caramel Apple or so many other flavors. The sky is really the limit when you have a Mrs. Fields Bakeware Fill N Flip Locking Layer Cake Set to create beautiful cakes with.

This Homemade Vanilla cake was just so easy to make but so moist and so delicious. It had a great texture that everyone who ate it was raving about. I also used the Sixlet Candies to decorate the cake as well. The Sixlet Candies add to the flavor of the cake and add color as well. There are so many different candies you can use and they have an amazing variety of candies that you can use to create your perfect birthday cakes.

Ingredients:

3 cups All purpose flour
5 Large Eggs at room temperature
2 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
3/4 cup whole milk at room temperature
1 3/4 cup Sugar
3/4 cup softened butter
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
Cherry Pie Filling

Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

3 cups Powdered Sugar
1/4 cup Warm Milk
1 tsp Vanilla
1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp. cocoa
1/3 cup Butter

Directions:

* Preheat oven to 350 degrees
* In a mixing bowl Mix together your dry ingredients and set to the side
* In a small mixing bowl mix together your eggs, 1/4 cup of milk, Butter, vanilla, mix with mixer till combined
* Slowly add the Egg mixture to the dry ingredients and mix it all together
* Grease and flour your Mrs. Fields Bakeware Fill N Flip Locking Layer Cake Set you will fill both pans once they are greased and floured
* Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes for the smaller pan and 30 to 35 minutes for the bottom of the pan, insert toothpick to ensure cake is completely baked
* While Cake is baking make your Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

Chocolate Butter Cream Frosting:

* In a Large Mixing Bowl add in your Powdered Sugar and Cocoa stir them together till they are combined
* Add in your softened butter and a small amount of your milk
* Mix on low so that it does not make your powdered sugar and cocoa go everywhere
* Add in more of the milk till it is just add in your vanilla
* If it’s to thin you can add in some more Powdered sugar till it is a the right consistency

Will frost a double layer 9″ Cake
