Taco Soup ( We love this recipe it gets me in and out of the kitchen quickly!)
2 lbs Ground Beef (cooked & Drained)
2 cans of Cream style Corn
2 cans Stewed Tomatoes
1 Can of Golden Corn
1 Package of Ranch Dressing mix
1 Package of Taco Seasoning
1 bag of Tortilla Chips
1 (8oz bag) Shredded Cheddar Cheese
After your Ground Beef is cooked and Drained add it to the Crockpot. Then Drain the juices from the Golden Corn and add to the meat. Add in the rest of the ingredients EXCEPT for the Sour Cream, Tortilla Chips and Cheese. Stir and put on high for 3 hours or you can put it on in the morning and put it on low till ready to eat. Put the Taco soup over the Tortilla Chips and top with cheese and Sour Cream.
OMG! This Cranberry recipe is SOOOOO Good! We made it for Thanksgiving and will be making it for Christmas again. I suggest adding a little bit of grated orange peel to it. Even if your not a fan of Cranberries I think you will love this! My neice who HATES cranberries LOVED this recipe and came back for seconds! Get your Homemade Cranberry Sauce recipe.
I have to say that I LOVE Thanksgiving and having Turkey! So when it comes time to make my bird, I can’t wait to get it in the oven so that we can eat! The neighbors are always calling and asking how I am making my Turkey because they can smell it all the way in their homes! So I am going to share my recipe with you all today.
I use a Chardonnay wine that is the cheapest they have usually a $3 bottle.
a bit of onion and Garlic salt
8 tablespoons of butter
I wash my bird first, then put it in the Turkey pan. I poke the Turkey skin to make sure the wine can get in under the skin. Then I pour about a 1/4 of the bottle over the top of the turkey. Then I pour about 1/4 inside the turkey. I then add spices above to the top and inside the turkey. I place it in the oven at 250 for about 1 1/2 hours and then keep basting it every 30-40 minutes. After the first hour I turn the oven up to 265 and then keep it there till my bird is done. The dark meat and the white meat are equally juicy and everyone is ready to eat. I do it this way every year and it comes out perfect. I do have the little pop up button my my turkey to let me know just when he is done to perfection. ( Love the pop up button) It’s so easy to do but everyone thinks you slaved on your bird to make it taste soooooooooooo good! I figure what they don’t know won’t hurt them. lol The alcohol all cooks off while baking your bird but it has just a wonderful taste. Do NOT stuff your bird if your making it this way do your stuffing in a different pan.
This is a great recipe for a comfort food and great for those cold winter months as well, that your family is going to love. It’s easy to make and tastes so good, as well as filling! It is a family favorite for our family. You will love how easy it is to make and you can even make it ahead for those crazy busy days with the family so that you can eat when you get home or between activities. The recipe will freeze well for when your sick or when your busy you can just pull it out of the freezer, heat it and eat.
2 Green Peppers
2 lbs of Ground Beef
1 cup of Long Grain Rice (uncooked)
1 (28 oz) Can Tomato Sauce
2 (28 oz) Cans Of Stewed Tomato (Juice not drained)
2 (15 oz) cans of Chicken Broth
3 TBS Italian Seasoning
2 TBS Oregano
* Chop your Onion and Green Pepper into pieces, the onion will be small and the Green pepper can be bite size pieces
* Brown your ground beef with the onions and green pepper
* Drain your ground beef and put into a 10 X 13 Cake Pan
* Add your Rice to the pan uncooked
* Stir in your tomato sauce, Chicken Broth and Stewed Tomatoes and stir all ingredients till they are mixed well
* Add your Italian Seasoning And Oregano and stir again
* Bake at 350 degrees, for 45 minutes or until rice is fully cooked
I had a request for a 5 or less ingredient recipe for Banana Bread. All of my recipes have more then 5 ingredients but I have made a recipe just like this one and it does come out really good and it’s really easy to make.
Banana Bread Fast!
•4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter, melted
•1 (18.25 oz) cake mix (*I used a pineapple mix)
•1 cup ripe bananas, mashed
•3/4 cup nut or chocolate chips (I used white chocolate)
Combine all ingredients and mix for 2 minutes. Pour into greased 9 x 13 bread pan. Bake for 40 – 50 minutes, of until toothpick comes out clean.
Note: I had enough batter to also make 6 muffins AND, I used a pineapple cake mix, white chocolate chunks and a little coconut. I guess you could call it a tropical version of banana bread. Yum!

I have to say that we love baked apples here in so many different recipes, Apple Pies, Apple Dumplings, Apple Fritters and the list goes on. However, when we want something on a cold night to warm us up, and still have a great treat. I make these apples as a treat for the kids. It’s a big hit with them!
10 baking Apples peeled, cored and cut into slices
1/3 cup Red Hot Candies (get on sale or at the Dollar Bill store)
3 Tablespoons water
Large Pan for cooking
After Washing, peeling Coring and cutting the apples up put them in the pan with the rest of the ingredients on a low heat on the stove top. Keep stirring till the red hot candies melt and the apples are soft. Place in bowls and eat. You can top with ice cream if you would like for an extra special treat. These are so good! I make these several times a year for the kids, then we sit and watch a movie together while we eat them. The apples will turn red from the red hot candies and have a heavenly scent to the house as well so your doing double duty. lol Hope your family enjoys them as much as ours does.

I have to say that I just love baking and eating these cookies. Not to mention they are very frugal and are sure to please your families cookie cravings. I make these on a regular basis and the kids just love them and it’s a great way to get more protein into them.
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup white sugar
Preheat the Oven to 350 degrees
Mix all the ingredients till the dough is smooth
Drop by the spoonful onto a greased baking pan and bake for 6-8 minutes. Be sure not to over bake them as they are the best when they are soft still.
Now I would suggest making a double batch for larger families because they will disappear quickly! I have to say that when I make them they don’t last long we usually have them as a movie treat and by the end of the movie we are wondering where the cookies went. lol
