Our family reunion was this past weekend as many of you know that follow our Facebook fan page. Everyone had a great time visiting and seeing each other, it was also my grandmother’s 94th birthday. So my Sister and Brother-In-Law flew in on Southwest Airlines for this event as our whole family would be getting together. It was so wonderful to see family that we haven’t seen in a long time, as well as celebrate my grandmother’s birthday. It was a great weekend and it was filled with so much joy and laughter.
However, when early Monday morning came, my Brother-In-Law had some health problems and in an uneventful turn he passed away, the day they were suppose to be returning home. We are all saddened by this loss, of a very amazing Husband, Father, and more. My sister was going to be flying home, and we needed my brother to accompany her so that she was not flying home alone. Southwest was so amazingly understanding and were able to change the ticket for her with no delays, red tape, or problems. We were able to get the tickets and my Sister was able to return home to her family to be with them.
Southwest may never know how much this meant to our family at this time, how much we appreciate their understanding and how easy they made it for my Sister to get back to her family where she was needed. You will always have our heart felt gratitude for making it a very easy process when time mattered most. Your customer service was above and beyond, it was handled beautifully. We will continue to fly Southwest in the future as well, thank you Southwest for having a huge heart and great staff dealing with sometimes not so easy situations.
